Ledermix™ Paste  is indicated for use as an intracanal medicament in teeth undergoingroot canal treatment 5,6 in the following situations: Acute irreversible pulpitis. Acute apical periodontitis due to an infected root canal system. Other medicaments then need to be used as subsequent dressings (e.g. calcium hydroxide) to ensure maximum disinfection since the demeclocycline has a limited antibacterial spectrum of activity. ​Inflammatory root resorption - both internal and external - as the initial dressing when the resorption is established. Other medicaments then need to be used as subsequent dressings (e.g. calcium hydroxide) to promote hard tissue repair. To prevent the development of inflammatory resorption10,11,35 following avulsion of fully developed teeth and other injuries (e.g. intrusion of fully developed teeth) where this type of resorption is likely to occur.
